Borderway and Newtown St Boswells Marts to host life-saving courses for farmers...essential first aid training aimed at agricultural and forestry workers will take place in September.
The practical skills sessions are the latest in a series of first aid courses which aim to reduce serious injuries on farms and in rural industries. More than 130 farmers and agricultural workers have already successfully completed the training, which is run by H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) in conjunction with H&H Safety.
Delivered by Farm and Forestry First Aid (F3A), the hands-on courses are tailored for farmers and forestry workers and cover potential scenarios such as quad bike accidents and serious incidents involving tractors and other machinery, as well as livestock.
For farmers working towards the Red Tractor accreditation, the sessions are registered and certified by the relevant authority, with certificates presented on completion.
- Tuesday 5th September at H&H Newtown St Boswells Mart
- Tuesday 26th September at H&H Borderway Mart

H&H Safety, an innovative health and safety package from HHIB in partnership with health and safety specialists AW Safety and aimed at creating a safer working environment for farmers, is supporting the event.
