Livestock insurance cover revamped ahead of Pedigree Sales season

Back to news

H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) is rolling out its improved H&H in-Livestock Insurance product at local sales to provide better cover for vendors and purchasers, more competitive rates and easier to access information.

The specialist polices offer comprehensive protection for individual pedigree animals, covering Breeding Warranty or Luckpenny cover as a vendor, or All Risks Mortality and Loss of Use protection as a purchaser.

Amy Scott, HHIB’s Agricultural Team Leader, said: “Our experienced team has a long history of working with pedigree breeders and fully understands the unique demands of farmers and their livestock.

“With an improved insurance package, we can arrange quotations immediately following a purchase or sale, and we are also present at H&H Pedigree Sales so we are on hand to provide on-the-day support and advice.

“H&H in-Livestock Insurance has been designed for farmers by people who understand the agricultural industry and the unique challenges farmers face.”

The revamped H&H in-Livestock Insurance cover includes:

  • All risks of death and theft;
  • Catastrophe/restricted perils;
  • Infertility;
  • Transit;
  • Extensions for government slaughter diseases.

The H&H in-Livestock Insurance is available as stand-alone cover, offering broader protection for high-value stock without the requirement to hold other insurances with HHIB.  Full stock coverage is available only when farm insurance is also placed with HHIB.

H&H in-Livestock Insurance will be relaunched at the Swaledale Show and Sale at Kirkby Stephen Auction Mart on October 15-17, followed by the Limousin Show and Sale at Borderway Auction Mart, in Carlisle, on October 17-18.

HHIB will have staff on hand at all H&H Pedigree Sales. For further information, contact a member of staff or get in touch with team members Chloe Brough or Victoria Twentyman on 01228 406290 or at [email protected]
