Welcome to the latest edition of our in-house publication - Insurance Matters.
The latest edition of Insurance Matters is now available online and here we share Paul's opening 'welcome' to the publication:
"With harvesting in full swing, it is often a time to reflect on the rewards of one’s labours and to look ahead at the challenges we will face over the next 12 months. Our financial year ended in June, and I have reflected on our efforts and endeavours over the past 12 months. One achievement that I am most proud of is that more people than ever have entrusted us to be their ’Trusted Advisor’. As a team, we work hard to repay that trust, and I want to thank all our clients for choosing H&H Insurance Brokers.
In the past year, we also completed a staff opinion survey. We use the Net Promoter Score (a worldwide standard for measuring feedback) or NPS for short to measure the responses. Our team scored 64 when asked how proud they are to work for the Group. To put this into some context, anything above 50 is considered excellent.
Our goal is to employ a highly engaged and professional team who deliver the levels of service that lead to satisfied and loyal clients. We do not always get it right, but we always try to. Next year, we will try to improve on these results and others.
In this edition of Insurance Matters, we share some cracking examples of businesses that have looked to the future and diversified to help protect their business and build for growth. As your Broker, the sooner you let us know about any plans to diversify, the better the advice we can give on managing any risks. If you would like to feature in a future edition, just drop me a line.
We, too, have strengthened and grown our business by acquiring Tynedale Insurance Service at Hexham and opening an additional office to support our growing team in Wales and Cheshire; more details inside.
Diversification has always been an active part of farming. Many of our clients have opened accommodation, such as cottages or even Glamping Pods, expanding their business into the visitor economy. Pre-pandemic, Tourism & Hospitality generated over £2.9bn of income to Cumbria alone. You can read more about why we have become a Strategic Partner with Cumbria Tourism.
