Georgina Lamb is the Regional Manager North West for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and works across Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside, South and West Yorkshire raising awareness and funds for the charity.
A first generation beef farmer’s daughter from Halifax means Georgina has first hand experience of the trials and tribulations in particular of hill farming and is passionate about promoting the ways in which R.A.B.I can help working farmers in particular. The R.A.B.I is the national farming charity supporting farming families in times of hardship and in 2019 spent over £2.8 million assisting those in need across England and Wales.
Georgina is one of the key speakers for the H&H Safety Farm Zone event; during her talk entitled “When Accidents Happen: RABI’s Support in a Crisis” Georgina will explain that although a lot of people don’t understand who farmers are or what they do, RABI do! They know how challenging it is being a farmer and how those challenges do not stop when you’re no longer able to physically work.
