Expanding insurance broker opens new Cumbrian office

Back to news

H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) has invested in the new base to meet the growing demand for its services in the Eden Valley.

The Kirkby Stephen office is led by Amanda Wallbank, who joined HHIB as an Associate Director last year and has more than 30 years’ industry experience having previously worked for the NFU Mutual.

She said the new office was part of HHIB’s continued expansion in the area and “it’s a fantastic new facility which signals our ongoing investment and commitment to our clients in the Eden Valley and surrounding areas.

“I’m thrilled to be part of a forward-looking, independent broker which combines expert, personal service with finding the best insurance solutions on the market for our clients. Our investment in this new purpose-built office at Kirkby Stephen Mart is just one example of how we can deliver that service.”

Along with Amanda, the Kirkby Stephen team is made up of farm broker Emilie Handley, and Victoria Twentyman, who leads the in-house claims team at HHIB.

“H&H Insurance Brokers are known for their expertise in the agricultural and rural sectors and the fact that Victoria, Emilie and I all live in the Eden Valley and are part of the farming community means we have a real understanding of the issues and challenges our farmers face,” said Amanda.

“By building strong relationships with farmers and gaining a deep understanding of their businesses, I can tailor insurance policies to meet their specific needs. This ensures they can focus on the daily operations of their farm with confidence, safe in the knowledge that they have the right cover in place.”

Amanda and the Kirkby Stephen team are supported by colleagues across the H&H Insurance Brokers business. Following the opening of the Kirkby Stephen office, HHIB now has eight regional offices including Durham, Northallerton, Hexham, Wigton, Newtown St Boswells in the Scottish Borders, and Ruthin and Wrexham in North Wales, in addition to its head office in Carlisle.

As well as agriculture and rural, the firm works with businesses across sectors including property, tourism and hospitality, construction and manufacturing.

Kirkby Stephen Mart is on Faraday Road in the town. The auction mart is operated by HHIB’s sister company, Harrison & Hetherington. Both companies are part of H&H Group.   You can contact Amanda via email  or call her on 07521 093598
