Covid-19 Update

30th June 2020
Paul Graham Managing Director H&H Insurance Brokers

As the country continues emerging from its enforced lockdown following the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, life is gradually starting to get back to normal and H&H Insurance Brokers is pleased to announce that they will restart on-farm and face to face customer visits, effective from 6th July.

Filled with relief and enthusiasm, the team will be resuming appointments and visits outside the office and across the region. Many customers of H&H Insurance Brokers will be pleased with this development, as these visits give people the opportunity to connect with advisors on both agricultural and social matters. Following the lonesome lockdown period, many farmers who have been long-term customers feel more like friends to the company, and staff are looking forward to getting back to on-farm visits where clients can talk about farm developments, diversification projects, changes to livestock numbers and any other initiatives requiring insurance advice.

The offices across North England, and Cumbria will reopen the week commencing 13th July, albeit at reduced hours and staff, as many teams will continue to work from home. This means that appointments will not be conducted at the office until further notice, ensuring clients are safe and that the Government’s health and safety guidelines are fully implemented. This means starting customer visits in keeping with social distancing standards, where prior to any visits consent will be sought to ensure this can go ahead along with confirmation that no member of the household is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms.

With these safeguards in place, over the coming weeks the offices will be working towards offering a full service and fully reopening, taking care to follow Government recommendations as the lockdown easing progresses. Further information regarding openings in Wales and Scotland to follow once available.

Managing Director, Paul Graham, commented: “It is important to us that our clients know that we are still here for them to answer any questions or concerns during this ambiguous time. Getting out on farm visits will boost our community because brokers will be offering some clarity and certainty, especially for farmers who have found their circumstances change during the coronavirus pandemic. Our main concern is the well-being of our clients and staff, and we will endeavour to keep meeting their needs in this constantly developing context. Life has been up in the air for quite some time, but it is still important for us as brokers to encourage our clients not to neglect their insurance needs or cast them from the forefront of their minds.”

In announcing these details, H&H Insurance Brokers is keen reassure that they are 100% committed to supporting its rural agricultural and commercial businesses.
