Sandra Hodgson is one of our Senior Account Handlers and has worked for H&H Insurance Brokers for over 26 years; Sandra looks after a portfolio of clients which includes individuals and businesses within the equine and agricultural industries. She lives on a farm at Kirkbride in north Cumbria, with her husband Vaughan. The couple have three children, Karl, 24, Ryan, 21 and Samantha, 17. We chatted to Sandra to learn more...
"As a Senior Account Handler, I’m the main point of contact for customers within my portfolio of clients. I work with clients mainly over the phone, processing changes to their farm or farm motor policies, preparing and sending out renewals and working on quotes for equine.
The best thing about working for H&H Insurance Brokers is the relationships you build with clients and your colleagues. I’ve worked with many of my clients for years, and know their businesses very well. I also enjoy the flexibility which the job offers.
I enjoy working as part of the H&H team. Everyone is really supportive which makes it a great place to work.
Outside of work, I often help out on the family farm, which is arable and poultry. Our sons, Karl and Ryan both work at home, and our daughter Samantha helps out when she’s not at school.
I enjoy horse riding and we have two horses, Brennan and Maddie. My favourite ride out is around the farm and through the fields. Maddie is Samantha’s horse, while I ride Brennan. I tend to ride after work or at weekends.
Living on a farm helps me with my job at H&H because I can understand the kind of issues clients face, and find the right solutions for them.
