Junior Account Handler
Kick-start your broking career with H&H Insurance Brokers!We’re looking for a proactive, organised and detail-focused individual to join our broking team as a Junior Account Handler. This role is ideal for someone starting out in the insurance industry or looking to take the next step from an administrative, customer service or junior broking role.
You’ll provide vital support to our Account Handlers and Account Executives while developing the technical skills and confidence needed to grow into a full Account Handler role.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key part in delivering an efficient, professional and friendly service to our clients. Typical responsibilities include:
• Working with our team of Account Handlers to answer telephone and email queries.
• Preparing and issuing policy documentation including New Business packs, Renewals and Mid-Term Adjustments.
• Liaising with insurers and internal teams to ensure smooth policy administration and manage key timelines.
• Supporting the team with debt management & keeping files up to date.
What we’re looking for
You don’t need years of experience — just the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Essential
• Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing documents.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise when under pressure.
• Comfortable working with data and documentation.
• A positive, proactive and team focused approach.
Desirable
• Experience in insurance, financial services, customer service, or administration.
• Familiarity with FCA principles and insurance terminology (training will be provided).
• IT proficiency (Microsoft Office; Acturis experience beneficial but not essential).

We now have the opportunity to offer an exciting and challenging role for an experienced Account Executive or for someone that is ready for their next career step.To support the continued growth of our business, we are looking to appoint passionate, practical and enthusiastic individuals to join our team, this role is primarily based in Carlisle but may involve travel throughout Cumbria, the South of Scotland and into the North-East.

We're looking for experience of working in commercial and agricultural insurance and an individual committed to driving growth.
Insurance industry qualifications are advantageous but not essential as support will be provided towards achievement.
You should demonstrate a strong knowledge of client market and insurance industry network
A full UK driving licence is essential.
