The National Beef Association (NBA) has appointed H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) as its preferred insurance partner, giving members access to specialist agricultural insurance advice and tailored cover.
With farmers operating in an increasingly complex environment, the partnership is designed to provide practical support, helping beef businesses protect their assets and plan with confidence for the future.
Through the partnership, NBA members will benefit from specialist insight and guidance, alongside access to free, no-obligation insurance quotes from the HHIB team. Members will also have the opportunity to meet the H&H Insurance Brokers team in person at NBA Beef Expo on Saturday 30 May at Melton Mowbray Market.
Neil Shand, Chief Executive of the NBA, said, “Beef farmers are facing a wide range of pressures, both operational and financial. This collaboration is about ensuring our members have access to specialist, practical insurance advice from a firm which is rooted in agriculture and has a strong understanding of the beef sector.”
H&H Insurance Brokers has nearly 40 years’ experience working alongside farmers and rural businesses across the North of England, the south of Scotland and nationally. While agriculture remains a core focus, the firm also supports clients in tourism and hospitality, commercial and property, and wider rural sectors.
The business operates a dedicated in-house claims team which supports clients throughout the claims process, helping to minimise disruption during difficult times. As an independent broker, HHIB has access to multiple insurance providers, ensuring clients get the right cover at the right price.
Kally Shane, Head of H&H Insurance Brokers, said, “We’re proud to be working in partnership with the National Beef Association. Our role is to support the farming sector with clear, practical advice and insurance solutions that reflect the real risks they face.
“We work closely with our clients, so we understand exactly how their businesses operate, the risks they face and the protections they need, which enables us to tailor insurance policies to meet their individual requirements.
“For our team, insurance is about more than planning for potential future events, it's about having the peace of mind that you are protected so you can focus on the day-to-day business of running your business."
Having the right insurance in place is essential to protecting livestock, buildings, machinery and livelihoods, while also ensuring businesses are supported when things go wrong. As the industry continues to evolve, specialist advice is essential to ensure cover remains accurate, relevant and cost-effective.
“This partnership reinforces the value of working with advisors who understand both the farming sector and the realities of running a modern agricultural business,” concludes Neil.
