Award-winning business targets further growth after headquarters revamp

Paul chats to Team Eco Ryan Fieldstone

Paul said: “The team at Eco Projects did a fantastic job. All aspects of the project were delivered on time and on budget, and we were kept informed on how it was progressing throughout the entire process.”
Eco Projects carried out the work, from start to finish, in ten weeks and the end result has shown that businesses wanting to create a different working environment don’t have to look to new premises to meet their needs.

H&H Insurance Brokers, which serves clients across the North of England, Wales and the Scottish Borders, has opened its refurbished headquarters in Carlisle.
Paul Graham, Managing Director of H&H Insurance Brokers, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with our new-look office.
“The feedback from the team has been brilliant and I can already see that it will change the way we work by creating a more collaborative approach to working across the team.
“Our ambition now is to build on the investment in the refurbishment and to use it as a springboard to grow and evolve H&H Insurance Brokers over the next few years.”
The work at H&H Insurance Brokers’ headquarters was carried out by Eco Group’s projects division, which operates across the UK from its offices in Annan and Carlisle.

Ryan Fieldston, Project Manager for Eco Projects said: “People often don’t realise how much space they have in a property.  Businesses might have people working in different small offices but when they open it out they often can’t believe how much space they have. It means they don’t need to move offices to create a completely different environment.
“This was exactly the type of job we love doing. We were tasked with revamping the offices to make it more open, with more daylight and natural lighting, and repositioning all the workstations to generally make it a nicer working environment for all the staff.”
A full Eco team of joiners, plasterers, and electricians set about restructuring the workspace. Air conditioning insulation specialists brought their skills to the project and Eco’s team laid the new flooring.
The Eco Projects team also achieved the most sustainable solutions possible throughout the revamp, including utilising existing data cables and, with the help of fellow Eco Group company Integrity IT, completing the IT and systems work for the new lay-out.
Ryan said: “We drove the value for money throughout the project while always maintaining quality and worked closely with the client at all times.
“Because of that approach we were able to save the client money which meant we could give the job a really nice finish by adding glass doors to further add to the overall open feel of the offices.
“We are really pleased with the end result but, more importantly, so is the client. H&H Insurance Brokers were brilliant to work with. They had a clear plan of what they wanted to achieve and allowed us to interpret and deliver that vision for the space they had.
“We have seen in our own business, with our headquarters at Annan which we built ourselves, how much this type of environment builds a team ethic and encourages communication across departments and we are delighted to have played our part in achieving that for H&H Insurance Brokers.”
