H&H Insurance Brokers Expand Business in Wales with New Partner

12th February 2019
Paul Graham welcomes Evan Rowlands

ICW (Insurance Centre Wales) based in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales, is the latest insurance broker to join the developing H&H Insurance Brokers Appointed Representative (AR)network.

This network provides support to successful existing insurance brokers looking to expand or reduce regulatory burdens as well as offering experienced insurance executives a route to setting up their own business.  Launched in September last year, the AR network has attracted considerable interest, and offers insurance professionals access to the H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) insurance product portfolio, whilst taking care of FCA regulation. Ultimately, this takes away the worry or expense of managing the regulation and compliance costs associated with financial services.

Evan Rowlands, who set up ICW in 2015, is a highly-experienced agricultural broker with a successful business and a loyal client base.  Complementing the HHIB offerings already available from its’ Ruthin office, in North Wales, this new partnership will not only provide Evan with professional support, it will also help him, further grow ICW in and throughout Aberystwyth and the surrounding area

Paul Graham, Managing Director of HHIB, says: “When looking to partner with our new ARs, I am looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals, who have a great track record in the industry and a strong business plan. Evan very much meets these criteria and shares our business philosophy of focusing on rurally-based commercial industries and providing specialised advice and services within these communities.

I am thrilled to welcome Evan as our latest partner AR and I am looking forward to supporting Evan and helping him and his team develop and grow ICW.”

“Looking forward, we have some ambitious and exciting plans for this region, and Evan’s experience and depth of knowledge will be a great asset to our business structure, furthering our support for our Welsh customers”, concludes Paul.

As a business, Insurance Centre Wales will look to service a similar cross section of the rural community, strengthening its proposition greatly. By becoming part of the HHIB family, this will allow ICW access to an even wider panel of insurers, as well as the expertise of the staff and partners who work alongside H&H.

Commenting on the new partnership, Evan Rowlands, ICW Managing Director, said:  “H&H Insurance Brokers shares the same passion for offering value and service to customers. Its long-standing status speaks volumes, and their high standing has already reached into our target area from the renowned Carlisle livestock auction which is part of the H&H Group. The auction has attracted quality stock and buyers alike from all across Wales over generations.

There is also a successful Livestock ‘Luckpenny’ product, an exclusive policy to HHIB, which would be a great offering at National Livestock Sales here in Wales. We look forward to offering this, as part of our complete Farm Insurance Package, to existing and new clients.

HHIB have been incredibly proactive in looking at flood cover for areas which have already suffered. Due to our ever-changing climate, this is an issue close to home in Aberystwyth and further afield throughout Wales.”

“As part of this new network of professionals, it’s exciting to develop a deeper understanding of these needs and devise customised policies for these particular scenarios. The support which we have already received in forming the relationship has been first class, and we look forward to building on this”, concludes Evan.
